Have you downloaded Windows 7 RC?

I had downloaded and installed on my MacBook Pro via bootcamp, most of thing are work so fine but few drivers from Apple is buggy, such as touch scroll got too faster, iSight don't work so well and graphic driver from Apple DVD don't support, you have to download so manually and Intel chipset seems act like odd but need proper compatible support.

It has WiFi drivers included in Windows 7 but I prefer Apple driver over MS generic driver.

I'm expected for Apple to release proper driver in later.

I wonder about boot camp software. You told me yesterday that Apple no longer to make boot camp for Tiger and MacBook Pro.

I have MacBook Pro with Leopard, not Tiger.

Bootcamp isn't supported on Tiger for all Mac but it does support on Leopard right now.

Oh I see, I have old Mac PowerPC Deskop computer at my storage. I never use it now. I really like Mac Powerbook but it is too costly.

How are you liking the new Windows 7? My brand new laptop came with Vista. I didn't like the Vista at first, but now I'm used to it and don't mind it at all. Is it worth switching over to Windows 7 instead?

YES YES

they work fast than Vista. I switch from vista to 7 and I am happy with it. It was my laptop with vista it so slow and freeze often while I was look browser. It have 3 gb ram and process is 45 that is vista. Hard drive would stay spin all times it get hot fast but with Window 7 it not bad and hard drive do spin but not serious like vista do.

Long post, but the complete information on XP vs Vista vs 7

You have to be careful what you are implying. When you are speaking in your own perspective, you gotta take into account that other people's systems might not be the same as yours, or they may not even see speed differences.

But if you already have a very fast computer, you won't even notice a difference between the two, or even coming from XP. Some German game reviewer group did benchmarks between Windows 7 vs Vista Ultimate, the differences were negligible, at almost less than 1-5% speed differences.

Case 1:

The main 4 system specs are a: (if you don't get this, this is basically one of the fastest desktops you can build right now)
- Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770
- Asus Rampage Extreme (Intel x48, BIOS version: 0501)
- 4GB DDR3 RAM
4 video cards tested:
- ATi Radeon HD 4870 X2 (750/1.800), 2x 1,024 MB
- ATi Radeon HD 4870 (750/1.800), 512 MB ATi Radeon HD 4870 (750/1.800), 512 MB
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 295 (576/1.242/999), 2x 896 MB Nvidia GeForce GTX 295 (576/1.242/999), 2x 896 MB
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 (648/1.476/1.242), 1.024 MB Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 (648/1.476/1.242), 1,024 MB

Case 2:
Overclockers.com - Windows XP vs Windows 7 - Benchmarks

System specs:
- Abit I7 motherboard
- Intel Prescott running at 3.0 GHz
- 2 GB RAM
- Nvidia GeForce 7600

If you have an older PC, like say 4-5 years old, this similar to what you will see jumping from XP to 7:

Case 3: (Business/productivity orientated perspective)
Windows 7 build 7048 vs. Windows 7 beta 1 vs. Vista vs. XP performance shootout - which is best? | Hardware 2.0 | ZDNet.com

System specs (They used two):
- AMD Phenom 9700 2.4GHz system fitted with an ATI Radeon 3850 and 4GB of RAM
- An Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 2.2GHz fitted with an NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS and 1GB of RAM

Benchmarks (one for each desktop):
In these benchmarks, the tally is done differently, lower #s are better, compared to higher was better in the previous two.

Basically, if you don't understand what it is saying, it is like this:

Super fast cream of the crop desktop:
XP > Vista: No really big gripes
XP > 7: Similar as above
Vista > 7: No noticeable differences to the human eye (except GUI related)

Older, not too many generations behind desktop (~2.5-4 years)
XP > Vista: Kind of slow
XP > 7: A bit faster than Vista
Vista > 7: Sort of faster

Really really old PC that's outdated (5+ years)
XP > Vista: Slow, but everyone has different definitions of slow
XP > 7: Slow, but everyone has different definitions of slow
Vista > 7: Slow, but everyone has different definitions of slow

32 bit vs 64bit: The better your PC, hop onto 64bit. The slower/older your PC, stay 32bit.

That's basically it in a nutshell.

Thanks, that's what I've been looking for it. I am using Windows 7 32-bit now and looks cool.

I have Windows 7 RC too, so basically we have less than a year to buy a full version or will we have to pay to upgrade?

It will expire in March 2010 then you have plenty of time to try it out.

Windows 7 wouldn't release until late 2009 or early 2010.

I got first crash when tried to change the image for background and had hard reset, ugh.

Windows 7 is nice at overall and faster than Vista.

Network bugs has solved in Windows 7 and I can connect to WiFi without any problem.

I may plan to buy new Dell desktop computer after getting free updated windows 7.

I found new bug is GeForce video card driver, it crashed then recovered in every minutes.

Yup, I found terrible bugs for GeForce video card driver, Windows 7 was crashed at 3 time and have to hard reset then killed video card driver and it worked so ok.

That's sucks about no video card driver right now, I'm probably download Vista 64 bit instead of Windows 7 if could solve the bugs.

The bugs will happen when you change to Aero theme that cause to crash so frequently.

Please report that so they can improve them better. We are still in the testing stage of RC after all.

If it is true...then what about the OEM that came pre-installed?

No worries on bug report, cuz W7 RC automatically reports crashes and bugs to MS:

MS said:
How does testing the RC help improve the operating system?

You help just by using it. That's because the Windows 7 RC automatically reports crashes and bugs to Microsoft over the Internet. The information sent in automatic reporting is called "telemetry." Our engineers updated Windows 7 based on Beta test results. During the Release Candidate phase, they use the telemetry data to verify that the fixes and changes they made are working correctly.

Btw, about the 7 upgrade on the 1st, it's really confirmed almost true. I think there may be some changes and such because we don't really have too much insider info other than the confirmation of a major OEM supplier.

What will happen is when you buy a laptop/desktop with Vista preinstalled on July 1st 2009 or after, when 7 comes out, you are entitled to get a free upgrade. That's all we know so far. It doesn't say whether you get 7 home/business/ultimate, but most likely you will get the 7 version of the vista version you have.

I heard it was July from my sources, I have been telling all my people to wait until July if they want 7. Not too sure if it is June.
