Why is it when you deal with people (selling through craigslist)
You tell them you don't call and email is best form of communication because you are profound deaf, they email you and settle the deal ( most cases are free items here ) but when they show up they talk and talk and talk no matter how many times you say you cant hear them?

I told this guy who came to pick up free stones from my basement wall tear out, he was building a firepit for his wife, that I could not hear him unless he was looking at me to talk... well he just rambled on and on...so I just went about doing some small things while he loaded.

Another funny thing is, my ad states specifically to bring help to move these stone as I can not help lift them, he came alone and he loaded them alone... I stressed that as soon as he pulled up.... and my ad states
NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURIES..... glad I did as he wanted to break some tree branches to drive his truck/trailer around and pull up to the door, this was a larger branch and when it snapped he fell back into another tree pretty hard with his back, then all the heavy duty lifting... wow dude, I feel for you. Older skinny guy and carrying those stones just made me hurt watching him. Im pretty damn strong but those stones were beyond me moving them even if my back and neck was healthy.

I get that often too that I tell someone I'm deaf, and they just keep on chatting away. I just shrug and ignore them  Let 'em talk to themselves.

You might as well ask why are people stupid. Why do we still get people driving drunk? Even when they know of the possible consequences people still turn the key.

I use the relay when I make calls. I once called about a car. When the CA explained the relay to the guy, he started shouting into the phone, and wouldn't lower his voice. no matter how many times the Ca told him he didn't need to shout.

You can be glad he didn't hangup instead and then refuse to answer when you called back!
