Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?

1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.

2. Mostly to clean the house.

3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?

1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.

2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.

3. God made my Mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?

1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.

2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?

1. His last name.

2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?

3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

What's the difference between moms & dads?

1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.

2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.

3. Dads are taller & stronger, but moms have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friend's.

4. Moms have magic; they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your mom do in her spare time?

1. Mothers don't do spare time.

2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your mom perfect?

1. On the inside she's already perfect Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.

2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?

1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.

2. I'd make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it and not me.

3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

:ty: Kalista. I will email to my mom - "Moms have magic; they make you feel better without medicine". :aw:

I think that God make my Mother smarter. She was very nurturing trying to take care of me as a deaf child and my sister who is hearing. She thought that my sister would be just like me, but we are different. She had been trying to write a book like writing about her experience in North Minnesota including Duluth, Minnesota and Minneapolis, Minnesota for many years. She had a very independent mind and very liberal. She had a hard life being a woman so I understand where she was coming from. My Mom tried to help me with speech and helping me with homework (of course, just some of it). She did not know that I want her to sign same with my Dad, but they were stubborn, when I offer to teach them sign. She try to be there for me, but I want to be independent just like Mom. I can take care of myself. I don't know much about between Mom and Dad (their history). I don't know much about questions that you are asking about why God make Mothers and all that. Both my parents passed away three years apart. I miss my Mother and know that I tried to communicate with her and she enjoyed having me talking even when she laugh at the way I mispronounce a word or two or more!!! I was kind of angry with her for not signing with me so it would be easier for me than to try to pronounce the words. Oh, well (sigh). I love her just the way she was.

Why GOD made mothers? here what mother means to me by GOD.

WHEN YOU HAVE A MOTHER.

When you have a mother
who cares so much for you
that anything you want
becomes her desires
When you have a mother
who is so understanding that
no matter what is bothering you
she can make you smile
When you have a mother
who is so strong that
no matter what obstacles she faces
she is always confident in front of you
When you have a mother
who actively pursues her goals in life
but includes you in all her goals
you are very lucky indeed
Having a mother like this
makes it easy to grow up
into a loving, strong adult
Thank you for being this kind
of wonderful mother.

I really enjoyed reading this thread. It was so sweet and funny at the same time. Thanks for starting it Kalista.

I believe that God created Moms because, Moms know what love really is. Mothers know how to build a bond with children that the children couldn't stay away from. Mothers know how to make Dads to beg for " comin' back " if, separate or split. :giggle:

It is a wonder that the mothers can do things that will make the world a better place for everyone. :)

I really like this poem and that say a lot like I did with my thread. Yours are much better than mine because I don't know how to express in poetry. Yes, that is what God make Mothers and we are all happy to have mothers being there for us. Thank you, GarnetTigerMom. This is really beautiful. Bless your heart. :h5:
