Who do you think will be on the Presidential tickets next year?

Please share your ideas of potential President/VP tickets, Republican, Democrat, Independent, Green, whatever. Also, give your reasons.

You don't necessarily have to pick people you support. Let's just make up some reasonable candidate pairs.

We can check back next year and find out who was right. ;)

My first selection is:

Republican ticket

President: Mitt Romney (former Governor, MA) Mitt Romney for President 2008

VP: Lindsey Graham (current Senior Senator, SC) U.S.Senate Lindsey Graham of South Carolina

Reason:

Governors and former governors have government executive experience, good for executive office of President.

Choosing a VP candidate from the Congress brings in balance of legislative branch.

Romney is from the Northeast, and Graham is from the Southeast; geographical balance.

Romney has declared his interest in the race.

Graham hasn't officially declared an interest but he has been strategically getting his name and face frequently in the national news on TV. (Personally, I think he's been over-schmoozing and kissing up to the Dems.) But it might work for him.

Both are "youngish" and healthy.

Now, what's your idea? :P

President: Bert
VP: Ernie
