Who likes Honda? (And what model?)

Well, I do...MMM, I want a "Element" or "FIT"-cute (Model). I tried both for the test-drive, I liked both. I haven't decide to buy it yet, just wait later in future. I had 1997 car, it's still good.

My deafie tech and I saw a 2009 Honda Fit that came for oil change. He told me that he don't like a Fit cuz of tight space in the engine bay. I saw another 2008 or 09 Accord with a handsome 2.4L engine (looks like a S2000) and big roomy engine compartment, easy spot the area of the engine better than the Chrysler PT Cruiser. I havent see any major problems with the Elements and just oil change and brakes. That's it. I took it for brake break-in procedure. I like it.

Thanks for telling me about FIT that has tight space...I should have look at the FIT engine, so better for Accord because of easy spot in the area and it's big, you're right. HMM, I'm still thinking maybe to go with Element or Accord (Accord looks nice). So you don't have any plms with Element so far? What year? I like Element because of roomy for many stuff and roomy seats for family or friends.

I cant remmby what year. I feel its a 2005 or 06. I ll look up the TSBs tmw.
 
My hubby is the car-knowledgeable one but I can write that we both really prefer the Hondas as well as Toyotas.....we have a Honda Accord and we test drove that compared to a Toyota and happened to chose the Honda. My husband's uncle, has Honda Element and REALLY loves it.

He is right. My good friend just bought FIT 2009 and we checked it out. It is very interesting that FIT have small battery like motorcycle's battery, spark plug is hard to replace.

He can make it to almost 40 mpg easy with manual.

Really, like motorcycle's battery. I will look at the FIT at the car dealer.

I thought FIT is cute and comfortable except the engine which is tight in the space. Oh, well.

I'm also thinking about CIVIC w/4 doors, I don't know what to pick Element or Accord even Civic, HMM.
 
when test driving we also drove new Civic, before driving the previous yr's Accord, I loved the "tightness" of the Civic and the interior of the Civic was more flashy but it felt like we had no room in it; the Accord we felt like we could stretch out little more in. Both cars are not quite as soft ride as the Toyotas. This was before the Fit, I would like to see how that is-

with dogs the Element could be very practical-

We did took a look at the valve cover of a 2009 FIT, the clearance on the top valve cover to the bottom of the cowl is about 2 inches. I think the cowl is removeable that will allow you to access the spark plugs or V/C gasket. But I didnt look up the repair information for a FIT. The engine size for a FIT, is a 1.5L.

I drove a 2003 CIVIC EX w/ 5 spd manual tranny (my son's car) for joyride. I described the ride character is like a go kart. Yeah, flashy interior, I like a D/S seat.
My favorite Asian vehicle repairs is Acura/Honda. I see the 2.4L engines in the Accords or Elements, are better than older 2.3L.
Bring your dogs over the dealer lot, to see if they like the Element or FIT. I dont know if they allow dogs to ride in the newer vehicles.
 
I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe with a 4 speed automatic transmission. It has a 127 hp 1.6 liter sohc VTEC engine...it is a high revving engine. It has brisk acceleration when revved up over 5000 rpm or so. There is a moderate body roll during sharp cornering and it does not have ABS which is a joke for an EX trim. Possible due to age, the suspension probably have softened up a bit. In the cabin which has pretty good space for 4 people to ride in it comfortably, has more rear seat leg room than a Ford Mustang (shame on them)...but not 5 people because the back seat is a bit too narrow and best suited for 3 children instead of 3 adults.

It has a fairly cramped engine compartment. The alternator is hard to remove, even the A/C compressor as well. The exhaust mainfold looks tough to remove, too. The valve cover is easy to remove as well as the spark plugs, too. It has an ordinary distributor cap and rotor on the side of the valve cover right above the transmission. The battery is a standard size for a normal Honda Civic or an Accord. I replaced the battery 2 years ago when the the battery died and had end of its life.

my husband would like an Acura, he really likes even more things about that than the Honda, but we are both very very happy with the Honda....but we go to Acura dealership for repair because we've had the best service experiences there.
I like that description "go-kart", yeah that would be accurate in terms of how Civic was to ride in for us :) we were concerned too that on longer trips we'd get really cramped and feel like we sitting on top of each other.
Husband loved his little Nissan he used to have when I first met him. It was little stick-shift car, extremely reliable, quick, he just loved it. But now that Renault owns Nissan he would not buy Nissan.
Hubby would appreciate pic., he enjoys working on cars-

Oh yes I like it and it is cute. It is very conivenient to clean up in the back when my kiddos threw up. My hubby bought it when his old minivan was dead. However i took element back after my other minivan was dead. He bought the used wagon station that i hate wagon station so much. That's all we can afford. hehehe actually, I am into jeep big time. I used to be wanting a jeep wrangler. I changed my mind that I want a jeep liberty. :giggle:
 
I don't like wagon station either. Wagon station looks funny on me if I drive that :lol:

I never had wagon station, I mean neeeevvvvaa!.

but riding is better than nothing until you get a new car, I'm going yay yay yay (act like I'm a kiddie) .

when I was a kid one of my best friends' parents had station wagon, type w/wood paneling on side, we used to love to ride in back with that rear window open and dangle our feet out-
I don't know anything about Jeep other than the word actually is a shortened version of very long name of original Jeep vehicle when it very first came out

In the back, turn the chairs down so dogs can walk around in the back. i dont know if the chairs can be removed. I havent check them out. Its so easy to clean up that is big plus for me.
