just ignore it.

The rest is speed. I took screenshot when I was on wifi. Turn off wifi and test. :P

Bell Canada HTC Desire Z on AT&T.

I have been flashing experimental radios on the G2/DesireZ. Someone was lucky and got 10mb/sec with another radio version. Lucky!

Sprint HTC EVO 4G 483kpbs download and 475kpbs upload. Signal was at 2 or 3 bars. I don't have 4G in my area. Will post once I have full 3G bar AND 4G for comparsion.

With Wifi on.. on Surewest network at my home 8.8 mbps download, 3.6 mbps upload

I use Xtremelabs Speedtest app. It's more straightfoward..

The Speedtest.org apps is crappy cuz It show upload speed 407kbps download and 59kbps upload on 3G network. It did show 8.0 mbps download and 59kpbs upload on Wifi. That's showing flaws in its software. Cuz dial and Upload speed froze until end result. Upload stuck to 59kbps. I even turned off 3G and 4G network, leaving Wifi on, same result.. Mine should be more than that!

I decide to go into my phone browser (using Dolphin HD browser with Flashplayer 10.3 installed). I checked out Sprint Broadband speed test. It show "Mobile speed test" so I click "Atlanta" and it ran. Ping is 127ms.. wow it's 1.27mbps download and 240kbps upload. I see disparity among different speedtest.

www.geekaphone.com/mobile-speedtest Latency... 233.6 ms Download... 350kbps, Upload... 220kbps. Browser.. 1,461.5 ms

Care to explain? Which is more honest??

Yeah.. it's all depending on which server pinged to and where it located. Some location have high traffic going on whereas other traffic is very light. Same for 3G or 4G, it depend on where you stand... suppose if you are in the bathroom and you got the highest speed than you are in the family room...
The speed test not always accurate.. it just give you an approx speed.

Im looking at buying a Droid Bionic but am seriously waiting to see if the HTC Vigor drops before my surgery in mid October

The Bionic tested at.....when I played with it at verizoon. The phone is 4g on verizon NOT on wifi
upload- 9,708kbps
downolad- 11,886kbps
ping- 83ms

Wirelessly posted (sent from a smartphone. )

I'm using xtremelabs speedtest app. I was on 4 bars with at&t 3g network. Downstream at 1377kbps and upstream at 284kbps.
