Hi , I am curious as to what you will do with Christmas trees once the Christmas celebrations are over?

I would like to turn the Christmas tree into a carpenter's project such as a book case or night stand or a chair for in the hunting cabin or slice the tree into neat pieces and have wildlife art work done on it. :) I don't have a wife and family yet but one day I would like to do this.

Build a fire, then get marshmellow, hershey bar, graham cracker and sticks. Have some S'mores! :thumb:

Save heating bills...

I highly doubt there's enough lumber in the average cut Christmas tree to make anything larger than, say, a small jewelry case or something on that order/size. That is AFTER you let it air dry/season the wood for about a year...... ;)

Actually no, Remember that people in those pionner days had to use logs right away to build their cabins for shelter and made a table and chairs things like that for their shelter. Research today shows it is better to let chopped wood air dry but you can do it on the spot after the Christmas tree is taken down then chopped or chainsawed for a carpenter's project.

I'd drop off city recycling yard, they chipped them for spring time landscaping. All for free!

ain't going answer for your Heath's thread..

U made me disgustion every minutes...
Ciao!

CrazyMomma and Liebling... this post is for both of you as you enjoy both campfires and fireplaces to keep warm. Please click on the " fire making " section :)

Personally, I like using the pyramid firecraft technique when camping or out in the woods. As for a fireplace.... I find the teepee firecraft technique personally more easier and cleaner to use... just chop or chainsaw the wood pieces into smaller pieces then put them inside the fireplace. This also prevents chimney fires too as it is smoking right up in a neat manner.

Please always remember to clean your fireplaces before lighting them up for the winter time. Stay safe and warm. Merry Christmas and God Bless !!!! :thumb: :)

We put ours in the garbage out in our front yard....

Angel , can you think of a more creative way to use your Christmas tree this year? I am curious :) :thumb:

Umm...I'm not good at creating things that are made out of wood... :dunno:

I have a real tree so I'm thinking of creating a shelf out of that tree. Let's see how good I can do it. Wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I hope I don't saw my arm off. :Ohno:

Why don't you make a wreath out of tree branches?
