Sorenson installer asking for VP-200...
Guess what ?
He said you MUST have VP-100 FIRST then
you will get VP-200 later...

Is this True ? or perhaps he was only BS ?

Maybe he was not bs you but maybe he misunderstood what was being said in the training seminar. I am not sure why he said that.

you need a VP-100 first because VP-200 is not out yet for public consumption yet. It is still in Beta testing stage. States currently in beta stage: Utah, Oregon, New York and New Jersey. Those who receives VP-200 in those state still have VP-100 because of Beta testing.. Once out of Beta Testing, all VP-100 will be returned. And if one is new customer receiving a new Video Phone after the beta stage will get VP-200 afterall.

Y, If you just got VP-100 installed like you said a installer came you house, then you need not to apply anything.. SorensonVRS will notify you when your VP-100 will be replaced.. That is what those video in that link Heath posted above explained. please watch all videos on that website to understand what's going on.

That's because when you have one installed, your name is already on their VP-200 list. no need to apply again.

No, I never get VP-100 NOT yet... The VP installer
was supposed to come over last week but I had
a problem with Comcast high speed Internet connection
so we had to postpone.. for another reschedule...
but then I told him that I would prefer VP-200
rather than VP-100 Thats how he said that
he MUST install VP-100 FIRST and then
come again to install VP-200

Hope you understand now that I do NOT have
any Sorenson VP-100 installed not yet...

I am having some doubts about him I am not
even sure whether to believe him or not.

I don't think so but call Sorenson and ask why he visited twice in a row. Maybe he had a good reason to come over. My vp installer does not come over unless I ask him to come have a look at my VP-100.

If he is visiting you on company time or off company time without authorization then something is wrong because most vp installers respect your privacy and your house and leave you alone.

Ok you didn't say you had a problem with your internet connection in your previous post. hmm... you only said the installer came to your place and tried to explain that you have to use VP-100 first. (because he does not have VP-200 handy)

Hi Y, My suggestion: Get the VP-100 like I have now then you will be automatically eligible for the VP-200 when they send the VP-200's to your home area.

Yeah, mine is probably 1st release. and still working.. eh. only thing is that the lens point to a little left. I believe it is manufacturing issue. but it still works.. I do not want to pry it apart to set it straight. I just turn the vp-100 slightly to the right (kinda make it difficult to sit on top of tv before) but now I put right on top of entertainment center off center eh..
