Accommodations such as having an interpreter or note taker... If you're oral, I suggest getting a C-print. It really does help a lot and your school is required to provide you with the accommodations.

you're given a laptop connected to stenographer who will listen for you and type out everything. I had this service from HS to college.

Pretty much. Request for the services. What school do you go to? Maybe I can pull up a link of what you need to do at that specific school.
 
but I only see things for fm system or interpreter everything else is for seeing or learning problems.... I will have to go talk to them

I just feel weird asking for extra help and having to have someone come and 'assist' me... Im much more comfortable just hiding in the shadows haha

perfect. they most likely can accommodate you but it has to be done in timely manner. let's see if they can do it at last minute notice. do it now.

Nothing wrong with that. They'd think it's neat. People watched my terps all the time in school.

Ask for assistive technology, I'm sure C-print (which is real time captioning basically) is included in that category. Go to their office, request for the support service, fill out few forms, and you're good to go. Explain that you don't need an interpreter, but C-print of some sort.

Damnit, Get it! I went my entire college career without any tech accommodations, and I really regret it now. I thought I could do fine just reading lips and wearing my aids, but I was still missing so much.

I finally got CART a year ago first for my grad seminars and then for the classes that I teach. It's made such a huge difference in my life.

Have you not registered with the school's disability resource center yet? If you have, they should have talked to you about your options. If you haven't, get your butt in there!!!!!

Id throw the interpreter in as well, doesnt hurt to learn some signs.

Psst... If you get real time captioning, you actually get to print out the notes to keep for yourself. Hearing people have asked me for the notes before when I used CART in high school and few times in college.
