WebMD.com: 3 meals a day or 6 smaller meals? Experts weigh the pros and cons

Interesting article but old news.

I would stick with three squares a day as that has been established for centuries probably going all the back to when the food supply was consistent.

Now, I would argue we have it backwards with our meals. The heaviest meal should be breakfast with lunch a moderate one and supper a light one. This would be better over all as you would burn those calories during the day and be easing up by the end of the day when you are more at rest and just before bed. Actually, this what most people did in the old days when working was more manual labor. Think of farmers, ranchers, miners and on it goes.

I agree with the article that six meals a day would screw up most people as people are having a hard time now keeping their weight under control.

I think 6 small meals a day is great...

1. Breakfast - boiled egg, a sausage link, and a glass of orange juice.

2. Brunch - white coated small donuts (3) and glass of milk.

3. Lunch - hot dog and glass of water

4. Lunner - milk and cookies

5. Dinner - macaroni cheese, one piece chicken, and soda

6. Snack - potato chip and kool aid.

Yummy.
