Of course we have to wait till she's 8 weeks, but of my gosh I really wanted the one that came bouncing out of his cage onto our feet and was wriggling everywhere and just so ecstatic to see us and was whining and carrying on just like our other beagle but she was already sold.

I'am still phoning that guy because she was 10 weeks old and if she was already sold why is she still there without any of her brothers and sisters?

I also didn't like the place either, because for the first time picking out a beagle this place didn't have the Dad around, and they weren't in the house or running around in the backyard but they were cooped up in a cage, I mean it was a big cage (more like little stables in a mini-barn) just for them, but the guy just didn't really care and wouldn't even really loook at us in the eyes while talking to us.
And I remember we went there years ago before we got Princess when I was a kid, but Dad didn't like the place and I have a very strong long-term memory but he just won't admit it because Mom was there for the first time.

We held onto a 4 week old beagle and she cuddles into Mom but they're so shy at that age, and then we all liked the female that was more like our other dog and was so much bigger but just 10 days older and picked her immediately. But after she went back in the cage she was sitting right at the very back of the cage by the wall just giving us all this very smug look!

Before we noticed that the 10week old beagle came flying out of her cage and stampeded on my shoes and was just so excited to see us, like she was choosing us and she was all brown (a type we wouldn't have chosen) but the personlity and her voice was so much like Tara I couldn't leave her but she's already sold and I can't get her out of my mind!

And I found an ad.. for beagles in the paper but Dad says he see's the same ad all the time so he's afraid it's a puppy mill, meanwhile I'am like "Okay so your scared!, why pass up not knowing if it's from the same place we got Tara or Princess? In a real family home where they care about the pets like family, because these other people don't!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Four more weeks till this one comes home, in the meantime I have to convince my Dad to drive out to see where this location is.

Awww they must be SOOO CUTE and TINY! I hate when people don't even care! UGH! That really piss me off!

Your father is a smart man. Good that he knows his stuff. :) :thumb:

Glad to know that your dad is a clever man, but I hope he is getting a puppy from ethical breeder. This includes the health guarantee and all puppies should be going home at 8 weeks old. They should never go home less than 8 weeks old. Puppymill and backyard breeders are serious problem in the USA and Canada. I am curious what did he elucidate about the puppymill to you?

I'm very positive its a puppymill. How can they always have puppies? That is a big red flag and I would run away really fast! I never use newspaper ADS to search for a healthy puppy.

I'd love to know why you think my Dad's a smart man.

I'd love to know if the other phone number is the same location as where we got Tara that's all, of course the big dude would say no even when he never called.

But we went to the same location about 15 years ago and he walked away.
This is the location we are getting our new dog.

Walking in a beagle tried to escape and was afraid we were going to hit him or something, he was ducked down and runnng franctically. We hope that's not Dad because we really want this new pup to be like Tara was.

And the one that was 10 weeks but sold and wasn't picked up yet was the one I loved more than the 4 week ago we picked because she was so much like Tara on the inside, I still can't get her out of my head.

The place we went to the puppies and the mothers were in cages, and like a minature barn but the mothers were very thin.

So please tell me why my Father is so smart?

Obvious he was dumb enough to support puppymills by buying one of their puppies. If I were him, I would have run away really fast from the breeder.
