That is interesting. It makes a lot more sense than just thinking Neanderthals disappeared without a trace.

Yeah. A quite interesting theory.

To answer the question about Darwin...he was all about natural adaptation. Interbreeding to insure survival could easily be seen as natural adaptation, so it doesn't conflict with Darwin at all.

Please note that it doesn't disprove creationism; it only saying that the math says it's highly unlikely that the fundamentalists' explanation would occur. So please try not to incite any religious debates. The math didn't say it's impossible for the theories to be wrong, just how likely or unlikely they would take place.
