lmao...Yeah buddy, coming from a guy who used to wear hearing aids all my elementary school life and stopped after...they tell you it improves your hearing cuz its more money for them when you buy it....I understand under some circumstances you would wanna wear ur hearing aids but trust me, only wear it for special occasions....And for those who thinks im wrong that it declines your hearing....Listen to a sound, any sound, and take off your hearing aids...put it back on for 10 mins and take it off and you will see how it affected your hearing.

You already said that in another thread right here in introduction. Why repeat in posting this thread here? So quit that!! Geeze.

Uhhhh, MINDCONTROL, you absolutely are way off the bat. You have missed all and zero hits on any of the spots that caused deafs/HOH to agree.

I used to wear a hearing aid. In fact two of them before losing my left at 9. Just because I put on, then take off my hearing aid doesn't mean I get the comparative results of what happens, what doesn't. In fact, taking it off and then putting it on doesn't mean I can hear the different levels of sounds. I take it off, I'm done. I can't hear anything AT ALL. When I put it on, I can hear.

And this post isn't helping me at all. I'm in the phase where I'm trying to find out more about cochlear implants, weighing out pros/cons, and then deciding. So if you think you know more about deaf people, stop right there. It would be nigh impossible for you to start convulsing, drop dead, then start inhabiting a deaf body and realize where they've gone, how they endured the loss of hearing; in fact, start realizing that deafs/HOHs can't be told what to do, led by their arm, or fed the misinforming crap they really don't need.

Yours is definitely misinforming crap. So... don't think you know any better and your impression isn't helping you gain any more friends.
