War of The Worlds

Saw War of the Worlds last summer, with Open Captions. The special effects are great, but the story is ooooooookkkkaaaayyyyy. Too many gaffes. For example: In the movies, something went wrong with electricity and none of the electronic gadgets work at all...except you caught one guy using camcorder...and it's still working! And in another scene, all the cars, trucks, etc. went dead and would not start....yet Tom Cruise and the kids were able to find one car that WORKS, and drive off just like that. There was no explaination why one object works while all others don't. Something like that...you got the idea.

So yeah, the special effects = great, storyline = so-so.

Roadrunner and I rented that movie " War of The World " good movie, We liked it alot and wanted to buy that movie so we can see it again....
