Here is update: I really do not want to jump on the gun before I finally became regular employee at my work. Since I passed 90 days probation period, and I am OFFICALLY HIRED! I now work for HUGE company that don't have union shop! Thank god! I need not to worry about senority for any promotions. In my shift, there is 5 deafies (my line have two deafies!), and they still DO hire deafies. Looking back, I am glad that I made right, yet hardest decision to turn down that America's number one employer! Can you believe America's number one employer for employees don't really offer anything much if you work in unionized department!

I almost joined teamster last spring. Back then I had to find job fast, and this unionized company offered me a job, but to get the job I need to pass dope test which I don't have plm with. Then another non-union company called me and offer me an interview. This call gave me very difficult decision because that non-unionized company have NOT offered me job yet. What makes my decision so difficult? Well this unionized company that already offered me a position has the WORST benefits, and WORST pay I EVER seen! $7.20 an hour, after one year of service I get 1 cute week paid vacation and that can NOT be carry over to the next year. No 401k matching plans, and other lousy offers I ever heard of. I decided to turn down that offer, even though I was not employed. I then took that interview, it was somewhat positive. But I had to keep bugging them to offer me the position. Took me 5 weeks after interview, OFC I was damn nervous because I had turned down that offer with lousy company. BUT I finally got an offer and was so thrilled. I got more out of from my company than this lowly teamster position! 2 weeks paid vacation in just 6 months, 3 sick/personal day paid in just 90 days, plus more pay, PLUS I get two I mean 2 retirement plan, the one have 401k matching vested immediately, and other one is pension plan, plus I get free contact lens from this company! There is much more my company has to offer. 2 of my 5 deaf co-worker had hard time wanting to leave my work! That is all because of excellent benefits... Is my company unionized? HELL NO!
I dunno exact how many deaf employees down there BUT I know there are at least 5, all on 3rd shift. I have no idea of 1, and 2nd shift, and other branches.
So I am glad I decided NOT to join stupid teamster!
