i didn't write this, a band called Green Day wrote it. but i love the song. it makes me think of my mom. so i hope u enjoy it.

Summer has come and past.
The innocent can never last.
Wake me up when September ends.

Like my fathers come to pass,
Seven years has gone so fast.
Wake me up when September ends.

Here comes the rain again,
Falling from the stars.
Drenched in my pain again,
Becoming who we are.
As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost.
Wake me up when September ends.

Summer has come and past.
The innocent can never last.
Wake me up when September ends.

Ring out the bells again.
Like we did when spring began.
Wake me up when September ends.

Here comes the rain again,
Falling from the stars.
Drenched in my pain again,
Becoming who we are.
As my memory rest,
But never forgets what I lost.
Wake me up when September ends.

Summer has come and past.
The innocent can never last.
Wake me up when September ends.

Like my fathers come to pass.
Twenty years has gone so fast.
Wake me up when September ends

I think Billy Joe Armstrong, overall, is a terrible writer, but occasionally he really puts some thought into what he writes, and it turns our REALLY good. "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" is another favorite of mine. I'd suggest checking out some lyrics by Further Seems Forever (Chris Carabba and Jason Gleason) and Five Iron Frenzy's serious stuff.

thats how i feel with "ana song (open fire) by Silverchair. I cried when i heard that song. I was going through depression and i lost a lot of weight. that song was pretty much a wake up call .. Silverchair has always been there for me with their music. I guess that why i can relate to daniel johns so much. I think its rude when people joke around that hes gay, and im sure gay people find it offensive when people joke about gay people in general... but its like hello hes married to natalie imbruglia one of the most gorgeous australian woman who happens to be hairmodel/singer.

That Finch lyric in your signature, ella, brings back a lot of memories. My friends' band used to cover that song, and I remember when that CD first came out, everyone loved Finch.
