Q. I received a postcard from VRSCA and I would like to send the reply card, which was included to the FCC. However, I noticed that the FCC’s mailing address on the Web site is different from the one on the card I have. Will my reply card get sent to the FCC?
A. Yes. All of the reply cards that are sent in are actually hand delivered directly to the FCC. The VRSCA organization tried to make it very easy for anyone to send in their own comments to the FCC. The reason for the differences in addresses is because a business reply was used on the postcard so that stamps would not be needed. Please be assured that your reply card will be delivered directly to the FCC. If you would like to use your own postage/stamps, just use the address posted below.

I hope FCC freezes the money rather than cut the money. Sorenson has been hindering the quality of Deaf life by hiring and keeping the best interpreters busy in their cubicles.

Eh? Did u read that when I gave out that link????? That is what I am asking if I was wrong in reading!! OK??? Gosh!! Don't get that damn idea in ur mind! U should read that and tell me cuz I was not sure if that is what they said... I am just confused ok?

When u click that above in my topic and watch the show (video) then scroll down to read some more of what ppl said... somewhere... I can't remmy who! So all I am asking if that what they said or what?? That is what I am asking is all... geez!

Alright as u seen that bold one above... no it was not my words(it was there in that link u should scroll down to what those ppl said) as I have shown that link above in my topic... so pls read whole thing... I may be wrong in what I though what they said...so that why I am asking is all, understand....

What? Somebody apparently totally misunderstood and some of them didn't understand what the guy was saying in video. :giggle: No, that is not what the guy was saying. (I know you didn't say that, AngelWolf... ;) )

What reading level some of people there have? 1st grade? (I mean those people who made comments in site that AngelWolf posted)

Some of people there don't even understood what the guy said in video at all.

Ok, let me explain what the guy was saying in the video and what it is all about regarding FCC, VRS, and FUNDS.

*ahem* :ugh3:

FCC is planning to cut funds (money) then VRS will get less funds from FCC meaning there will be fewer VRS staff due to cut down funds. So, if you don't want FCC to cut funds and want to support VRS like you love VRS and want to continue using VRS. Then, just write a letter telling them - DO NOT CUT FUNDS, etc, sign your name, then mail it to FCC. Is that clear now? :)

What You Can Do Now:1. Send an email to the FCC.

I am a deaf person and I use Video Relay Service (VRS) to communicate. I was appalled to learn that the FCC staff is intent on drastically cutting the VRS rate, and effectively cutting VRS availability for the deaf. Instead of seeking to limit the number of deaf people with VRS access, the FCC should do everything in its power to make VRS available to more deaf people.

I, along with other Deaf individuals, use these services in both my work and personal life. It is an important way in which I/we communicate with both hearing and deaf individuals. I urge you to do everything you can to make VRS service available to the many deaf people who currently do not have access to this vital, life-changing service.

The VRS rate should encourage the VRS providers to:

* Serve more deaf people, not discourage them from reaching out to more deaf people
* Provide interpreter training programs so that there will be an adequate number of qualified interpreters for VRS and the local Deaf communities
* Provide service and technology improvements, such as the development of new videophone equipment, fulfilling the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandate of functionally equivalent telecommunications services

I, along with other deaf individuals, their families and coworkers, depend on VRS and other relay services.

Please stop any VRS program cuts and fulfill the mandate of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to provide deaf people with functionally equivalent telecommunications services.

Ahh, that is what I though!! I was not sure why those ppl said that way... but I think I undy now... gosh I hate when not undy or getting confsued sometimes! *groan!* lol ... once again thanks!
