VRS need to change.

The Sorenson VP200 is not yet available for general use. There are some out there now but they are beta testers. I would hope the VP200 will be out before the end of the year. I asked for an upgrade and that's what I was told by Sorenson.

Strange... Vp200 is available right now. Some of my friends from California and AZ have them now. I have it here too ... well I am living near the headquarter of Sorenson.


Nascar, I am sorry that your gf has to go thru all the difficulty. VP 100 sucks...my skin is dark as well. They had a hard time seein' me. It is the vp 100 .... I had to get a lot of lights to get them to see me. Now hopefully vp200 will be much helpful for your gf. My Vp200 works just great! I have NO problem with it. Good luck!! :)

Yeah, the VP200's that are out right now are beta testers. So yes, there are some out there but no they are not available for general use until the beta test phase is over.

Would you really blame that on Sorenson instead of the individual terps. I have to imagine that if someone is a racist then they will be a racist regardless of corporate policy. The same applies to those that are not racist's. If I went to a company that had racist policy I would report them to the proper authorities and find a job somewhere else. My guess is that you will encounter this kind of behaviour from any person that is a racist. The solution from where I sit is for the companies to implement eduacation and awareness and then monitor to make sure this kind of treatment doesn't occur and if it does, take swift action to resolve it.

Sorenson doesn't have a "white-skin only" attitude. All the VRS Interpreting Centers are using VP-200 and most Deaf users are using VP-100. That is what cause dark-skinned people to appear even darker...because of different equipment.

Once everyone is moved over to VP-200 we won't have that problem.

Your girlfriend can help by wearing lighter color shirt when she make VRS call.

Uhm,, ,there is video adjustments that can be made to increase the brightness, gain, hue and saturation which should be adequate. These adjustments are available on the VP-100's.
 
NascarZing -- My man is black.. we have same problems.. so we switched to CSDvrs or Spiritvrs.. it works nicely..

Qwerty, buddy, still have an obsession with Sorenson being "better" than SprintVRS? Seems like there's one convert to the light side. Any side except Sorenson.

Strange... I ve had Vp 200 since April, the guy who was in charge of installer prog and told me that they will start giving vp 200 by beg of the summer. I guess there were some problems. But gotta tell ya i LOVE vp200 and it is a lot better than vp100.

Sorenson is slow.

Hmmm .... Are VP100 and VP200 are two different devices? Or we can get updated from VP100 without getting another device for VP200?
 
frankly many of you complain about the system itself, do yourselves a favor.. just be gratefuil u even have a VP.... and simple just fix the staturation on the vp... if thats a problem hit the contrast if thats STILL a problem contact the tech...

2nd of all many of you have 2 vps then put them to use!

seeing pickers in here irriates me you just be grateful u even have anything like this we cld be dealing with many issues in life but the one issue we have now days is communication factors that fails in the community! find some medium and remember nothing goes ur way or no way. work to meet in the middle! quit bitching and find a soultion!

My information came directly from Sorenson when I requested an upgrade to the VP-200... I don't know how long ago they started the beta probram but thay may explain things a bit. Either way, it;s not something that concerns me right now because my vp100 is working fine. I still wanna get the VP-200 when it's available for general use.
