VRS need to change.

I am not pleased with VRS now. They had been complaining that my girlfriend is dark skin and said need more bright lights. We have three 100 watts around here and VRS can see me (I am white) but can't see my girlfriend (she's black). It frustrated the hell out of us that we had to find the interpreter that can see us. One time the interpreter told her that the interpreter can't see her. I told my girlfriend to ask a question to test the interpreter out to be sure. Then my girlfriend asked a question and that interpreter replied her questions and then my girlfriend said "I thought you can't see me?". Then the interpreter kept repeating "I can't see you". Damn VRS.

Also I had waited for my VP100 for one year before.. they had made me to proof that I have highspeed cable then I went ahead ordered highspeed and paid alot of money monthly. And I waited and waited for that damn VP100 to arrive. Finally it came only one year later!!!! Wasted my money. Now look at hearings... they go to store and buy a phone and then hook up in only one day! I have to wait one year! I did ask VRS that I want to buy VP100 so I dont have to wait and they said they can't do that. Even I ask them that my mom would need one and they said can't do that. I said I would pay for it and they still say cant do that. Damn I just realized they are very dirty.

I have moved new home and I knew about new VP200 coming soon and I tried update my address and new email but there is no way for me to update it. I called VRS and they said I have to refill out application and it will take long time for me to get VP 200. Damn them.

I have webcam Quickcam pro 4000 and its very clear and brighter than VP100. I felt VRS is blaming dark skin people for being dark and refused to make a call. My girlfriend had to hang up and get another VRS interpreter that are able to see her.

Screwed VRS. They are giving us limits. Hearings has easier life than Deafies.
 
Then use another VRS like SprintVRS.TV instead of putting up with Sorenson's poor attitude.
 
get vp200 it auto adjust for brightness no need to reapply for vp200 if already got vp100

you need 1000 watt light blub for vp100

sorenson vp is never sold did yu email with sorenson for updates? why wait one year?

same thing interpreters wont be able to see easily to dark skin people regardless any vrs providers on vp100

There is nothing wrong with Dlink VP. I can see it better than Sorenson VP-100.

NascarZing, you can purchase Dlink VP-1000 at any store. If you do not like it, you can ask for refund.

Dennis is right that you can try any other VRS competitors via Sorenson vp-100. Have you tried it yet?

If someone isn't happy with one VRS provider, they should have the ability to select another provider who will be able to see them better.

you misunderstand me dlink vp1000 and vp100 have similar sensor camera with same result for dark skin so you use 1000 watt light with same result dlink vp and vp200 are not very compatible have you tried call vp200 to dlink vp?

peed dlink vp1000 many times dlink vp on its way out to back door why keep dlink when you can use vp100 or vp200 to call use phone numbers

Nope, I have seen both little bit different.

Maybe you need to contact your friends who has two different VPs and compare the color balance...
 
I have 150 watt (43 watt sprital floursent bulb) top of my tv next to the vp box. it's powerful bright floursent bulb, better buy at Menard's look for the 150 watts (43 watt on sprital floursent bulb).

I had got very bright lights sitting in front of us but it sure hurt our eyes... we had to reduce it by covering up with sheets something like that and set two lights above and behind us. With my webcam we dont need a light sitting in front of us.
 
IT seems that the VP-100 has a really bad light sensor and they should have fixed it in newer revision of VP-100 due to design flaws. Many webcams have no problem with attracting low light and can see each other just fine.

Sorenson doesn't have a "white-skin only" attitude. All the VRS Interpreting Centers are using VP-200 and most Deaf users are using VP-100. That is what cause dark-skinned people to appear even darker...because of different equipment.

Once everyone is moved over to VP-200 we won't have that problem.

Your girlfriend can help by wearing lighter color shirt when she make VRS call.

You need to speak to the Sorsonen customer service manager. Ask for the replacement VP or New VP-200. If they refuse or delay your complain, you may need to contact FCC commisssioners...
