Let's challenge with each others about this subject....It is about Sorenson VP/Spy/FBI...

When Sorenson Employer goes over to your house...give you the VP and help you to set up VP and computer for you...

AFter that...When you chat with your deaf friends on VP...Do you think there is *SPY* watching your conversation with your friends through your VP?

For Example: When Sorenson Employer knows your ip address...Sorenson Employer can go into your VP ip address and watch your conversation with friends on VP....

Do you agree or disagree that it is possible for Sorenson Employer access your VP ip address and watch your conversation with your friends?

I personally disagree and it is FDC Law passed it...There is impossible for anyone to watch our conversations through VP!

There's a deaf person who thinks there were "SPY" through VP and watch deaf person's conversations through VP...

This deaf person got me involved last year...got me to believed there were *SPY* through our VP conversations...We went to meet with the FBI...

This person got a lawyer and the FBI is working on their case against the Sorenson Employer. I found out and realized that this person was paranoid, idiot, insane, nutcase about this! I called the FBI few months ago...I told the FBI that I did NOT want to get involved with FBI case with this insane person!

I foundout it is NOT true about SPY our VP conversations...It is wasting FBI's time and energy over with this insane person's case! :whistle:

Well, this is what Sorenson's user agreement says:

"You authorize and specifically grant permission to Sorenson Communications to record and transmit your voice, likeness and/or image over the Internet solely for the purpose of use of VRS interpretation services, and further release and agree to hold Sorenson Communications harmless from any and all responsibility for any such loss of rights and/or interests resulting from transmission of your voice, image and/or likeness over the Internet. The foregoing shall not be construed to be a consent to use of your voice, image or likeness for purposes other than use of VRS. Except for the authorization and permission specifically granted to Sorenson Communications in this Agreement, you reserve all right, title and interest in and to any and all forms of your voice, image or likeness."

In other words, yes, you allow Sorenson to record and transmit your video and audio. Before, when the language wasn't so clear (I can tell they've updated the user agreement several times) it could have meant that they could do that to you anytime, and record it for their own purposes, but this user agreement says that they can only do it for VRS purposes. I assume this means they won't record your private VP to VP calls, but you never know.

They can see how many minutes of VRS you use per month. There have been complaints in the past about Sorenson doing this to enforce the 30 minutes a month minimum VRS usage. Maybe they don't monitor it anymore, but they certainly could do it again or still do secretly.

FDC? You mean the FCC? The FCC states that your VRS conversations can't be kept and recorded. Doesn't mean that they prevent your conversations between VP to VP confidential.
 
DOes not matter, these VP is the easiest to crack and eavesdropping. Several of hackers told me, GAWD Sorenson got the worst server security! So go figure! I personally witness how it was hacked and cracked into. Way way way too easy!

I'd go Dlink for any private conversation.

Dennis is absolutely precise.

Did you sign the Sorenson contract earlier? If so, you already let them to view your private conversation. That does not mean they would know your 100% percent private life. Maybe Sorenson people know you better than God barely knows you…just kidding.

Sincerely, they view your conversation via VP. However, the Sorenson techies need to monitor their VP products so that they would reengineer their new VP-200 products or update the VP-100/200 version.

Did you know that there is the missed calls, such as Caller ID, on your VP-100? They do have history of your calls!!!!

I do have two VPs at home. All the time I use Dlink I2EYE VP via different competitors. Yes, there is no recording conversion via the Dlink VP. (Maybe they possibly record the convernation between VP-1000 and VP-100). I also use a Dlink VP at work.

Yeah, I have noticed. I just learnt from the elite IT specialists at DOD agency do not recommand Sorenson VPs. However, they do approve Dlink VPs.

There are free Dlink VPs from CAP for deaf/HH federal employees only.

I work for fedearl agency and I can not share the specific internal info...

Look at the CAP webstite. Show me where is Sorenson VP?

Does that help you to stop scratching your head?

Yeah... It helped and stopped scratching my head. Unfortunately, CAP are selling those equipments. Sorenson can not sell any Sorenson products. This has nothing to do with SPY/FBI/etc like you said. :dunno:

Are you telling me the Sorenson Employer who brings the VP and set up for someone's home...When this Sorenson Employer goes home...he/she could access someone's VP and watch conversation?

Have you watched their conversation at your home?
 
Close, but not sorenson Employer, it can be ***ANYONE***!!! Does not matter who, these elite hacker showed me how to crack in Sorenson server and watch people making conversation though what? AOL AIM!!! I was like dropped my jaw! I said WTF? Well, like I said Sorenson got the worst security on their server. Very easy to break in, it is pretty much like double door being wide open for anyone to barge in and look around. It was mistake for Sorenson to store all of the IP addresses in database and store in the lowest security setting.
Dlink is different, you need to enter IP address in order to get connected to other VP. Whats more, Dlink got better security server than Sorenson.

What Mookie just explain is true. He already know what Im talking about. So, it is up to you all to think what kind of information you'd want to send out though Sorenson server. I have both Sorenson and Dlink and if it comes to bank information or other sensitive info, Im going to use Dlink!

Even I see that CSDVRS is using VP-100 style of videophone and they are also worest setting of low surface level?
 
No, CSDvrs is using Dlink, so its safe, CSDvrs really don't have any server so there is no concern.

Yes they are using VP-100 style but I can't proof cuz CSD VRS removed that website.
 
You don't understand how the networking system works. All of the Sorenson VP goes straight though Sorenson Server WHILE the rest of VRS don't have any server to deal with point to point VP calls. Only that VRS use server for all of VRS calls only, not point to point like Sorenson system.

I have sorenson VP, and if I want to call you and you got Sorenson VP then my call is really going though Sorenson server first then your VP. See where the problem is? While Dlink using IP address, they search where your IP address and found you, not server of any VRS.

There is reason why Sorenson wants all of the VP calls though their server... So that they can lock up any VP that is sold to somebody else. Alot of deafies had sold the VP to somebody else. Happened to me. Sorenson thought I sold to somebody else and actually locked my VP. I called them, they said sorry and came back to replace it.
