CHANDIGARH Police today managed to nab Gopi, a resident of Colony No. 5, who is one of the prime accused in a case registered against him and two others for raping a deaf and dumb woman.
Gopi, who works as an auto rickshaw driver, was nabbed this afternoon. During the press conference held at the Sector 34 Police Station to announce this fact, police also said the rape victim had identified Gopi.
On the basis of the identification, Gopi has been arrested on the charge of rape. Raids are still being conducted in Chandigarh and neighboring areas to nab the other two accused. Gopi would be produced in court tomorrow.
