Hello,
I just joined very recently and do gothic/fantasy/erotic art and work with Photoshop CS, Corel Painter, Illustrator, Freehand, InDesign, etc. Any deaf artists here ever been published or worked in the comic book or video game industries or have any of you tried to work professionally in the graphic design/illustration field? I've done some comic books in print form in conventions and it was really a lot of fun. Nice to see your name be printed in a book, is'nt it?
Have any of you get discriminated or been turned down in the graphic arts or galleries trying to get jobs or exhibitions because of your disabilities?
I'd like to know which is very important to me. I'm 33 years old, Hoh/Deaf speaking orally and know a little ASL from Cleveland, Ohio.
