Hello everybody, sorry for the long wait.
I just got my right side implanted on (September 17th, 2010 at 12:30pm) and activated on October 8th at 8:30AM I have the nucleus 5 on my right side. And i'm enjoying it very much. I still have the freedom on my left side, but is waiting for an update to get the nucleus 5 for my left ear. Which will be happening in about 2 weeks or so i think.
I just started school as well. Things are going good. Except for a few problems with the substitute interpreters listing and the school not understanding that i need an interpreter whether I have a cochlear implant or not. (they think i have perfect hearing when my implants are on..but its entirely not true) Band is going great! I'm having so much fun. Of course, my hands are bruising right now. I'm not really looking forward to a Friday's and Saturday's rehearsal this weekend. We have Friday off from school because of a WOEA day (not sure what that is though) from 9-5pm and 9AM-9PM on saturday.. This year's show is called Every Which Way. Its suppose to be a fun, upbeat show. Its about different sounds coming into different directions. Its a VERY complicated show to do. But its worth the hard work
Oh well. I'm getting tired. I have to get up at 6AM tomorrow morning and then band practice at 3:15-4:30pm and be at the football game for the rest of the evening until 11pm..which i don't like getting home late by the way. because i have other stuff to get done..bleh. oh well.
