Well does it?
I wouldn't know because I've never been to USA. Some sources say their health system is better then ours and it seems that way sometimes. Some sources say that it's terrible?

All I do know is our own NHS leaves a lot to be desired and one often has to pay if one has to get anywhere. I have gone private in the past for various heath problems and may have to do so again about eye problems because I need to be examined under anesthetic since last eye test I had I couldnt keep my eyes open at all and the doctor lost patience and wouldn't treat me.

US does have scary cases, yes, but not nearly this bad. Its illegal in the United States to refuse emergency medical care to anyone who needs (not wants) it.
