I am looking for a website that I could download tv shows that have closed captioned. Have any of you experienced downloading a CC tv show from internet before?? If yes, can you explain how this works??

i did try these before with three different movie downloadings websites last year... NO, the CC won't work at all. only you can download very few movies with the subtitles like foreign movies. i did complain to two different websites about that situation. they said they are trying to make the CC for these movies online. i dont know about a current situation with these websites.

Worry about miss tv shows? Why not get TiVo.
 
being cheapskate, use VCR and setup schedule and it will record for you.

yea i have one tivo myself. it is good. in future i ll build HTPC so i can record any thing from tv on HTPC.

:) I do that all the time. I'm looking for some old tv shows that are not on tv anymore.

I would love to have TIVO. I don't want to buy one now cuz my landlord is paying for cable. I am definely going to buy one when I buy a house. Do u know what HTPC stands for?
 
Try the CMP site. Lots of videos to download and the computer has a new graphics card to make the video downloads into a 31' tv screen.

It would be nearly impossible to find website... I mean... WEBSITES... that provide downloads of television shows due to legal issues. You're probably better off using filesharing programs such as DC++, Shareaza, and i2Hub. :thumb:

HTPC stands for home theatre personal computer
