FOX News Guest Host Tucker Carlson Sounds Off On Controversial QB
The debate over Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick's return to the NFL has not died down with his impressive performances on the field.
On Tuesday night, a conservative talk show host raised the stakes on commentary concerning the controversial signal caller.
Tucker Carlson, while filling in on Fox News's "Hannity Tonight," said he believes Vick should have payed with his life for his role in the killing of several dogs in 2007.
Carlson spoke about his Christian faith and how he believes people deserve second chances. But then went on to say he thought Vick should have been put to death for his crimes.
"Michael Vick killed dogs. And he did in a heartless and cruel way. And I think personally he should have been executed for that. He wasn't," Carlson told a panel of guests.
The discussion leading up to the comment centered around President Barack Obama's phone call to Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie earlier this week, thanking him for giving Vick a second chance following his release from prison in 2009. [Read story]

. I probably wouldn't mind talking to Carlson in person, but on TV, no. And I'm wondering if he really does mean to say Vick should have been executed off-camera?
