Man accused of stabbing relatives over holiday table manners

WORCESTER, Massachusetts (AP) -- A man was charged with stabbing two relatives after they allegedly criticized his table manners during Thanksgiving dinner.

Police said the fight broke out Thursday when Gonzalo Ocasio, 49, and his 18-year-old son, Gonzalo Jr., reprimanded Frank Palacious for picking at the turkey with his fingers, instead of slicing off pieces with a knife.

Palacious, 24, described by police only as an uncle, allegedly responded by stabbing them with a carving knife.

He is charged with domestic assault and assault with intent to murder, Detective Sgt. Thomas R. Radula said.

Police said Ocasio Jr. suffered stab wounds to the chest, back and right side. A nursing supervisor at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center said Friday she had no information on his condition.

His father was treated for a stab wound in his arm.

I wouldn't even care less if one of my children or Roadrunner use their finger by picking on the birdie...
 
Err... sounds like the family has a couple of nitpickers. Better to keep their mouths shut, it's not like they'll die from it.

Well, they nearly got themselves killed when they opened their mouths. :)

Myself, I prefer to eat chicken/turkey with my fingers, as long I wash my hands that is. It's easier that way, and I always have napkins with me.

Yeah...but they were right. He apparently did have bad table manners if he stabbed them ;)
 
I cannot believe a person got stabbed over that! :nono:

I mean so what if someone use their finger to pull off meat from a turkey, I do that too I know most people do that also. Big Deal. :roll:
