"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" - The Constitution of the United States of America

Being that the original Pledge had no references to God or any religious figures, and that Congress forced the insertion of the phrase "under God" into the Pledge by law, the inclusion of "under God" in the Pledge contradicts the Constitution. And being as the Constitution is the final arbiter of American legal system, indeed, the document from which our entire government and nation are derived, having "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance is Anti-American.

I do my American duty every day. I don't construct an elaborate fantasy world in order to comfort myself. Rather, I actually believe in the American ideal. I am a true American, something you will never be.

I'm lying to myself because I'm a true American, because I understand American history, the American political system, and the reason why the First Amendment was ratified?

And it's a Christian flag, is it? How so?

I am looking for the article if I can find it because the liberal establishment wants to hide the fact that the Red Blue and White flag is actually a Christian flag. It will take me a while to find it.

No way. American Flag is symbol of USA. Maybe that woman who made the flag which is Christian? But still, very silly to saying that American Flag is Christian Flag, it's not. I consider it as American Flag is symbol of USA.

Smells like bullshit. A quick check of Wiki shows that the history of the U.S. flag is uncertain, but was most likely ripped off from the flag of the British East India Co. The cross on that flag is the Cross of St. George.

While Wilkipedia is a good place to check. I would check with the old books and the ones that have not been re-written. I will have to ask my mom for what the book was that I read which was a very good book on the history of the U.S. Flag way before things were re-written.

Even if it is not found online then the liberal establishment is trying to hide that fact and re-writing history. Just wait, I will ask my mom and she will let me know what the book is that my mom gave me to read a long time ago.

Pretty much every opinion in existence on any subject is online somewhere in some form. If your idea is not available online, it probably doesn't really exist outside of your imagination. You're just trying to divert attention from the fact that you've boxed yourself into a corner here. Unfortunately, you don't realise that you are the only person on AD that thinks there's a massive liberal conspiracy out to change history. So sorry, but your diversions won't work here.

Maybe you just need to see a psychiatrist... It's obvious to everyone you're living in a fantasy land.

See, I don't have a fatalistic and negative view of the world or of society. I see society getting better. The world has its problems, yes. But I've the view that humans combat the negatives and enhance the positives. It is our duty under God.

Then again, I was raised in the real world, not a fanciful Christian dreamland where everything is all peachy and nice and there is no sin. Reality check Heath: The world is not perfect. The only thing that's important is that the world be aimed to eventually be perfect and that we as humans take steps to make it that way.

The primary conflict between you and I is that I promote this goal through positives whereas you promote it through negatives.

Society is not getting better unless we return back to Biblical values that made this country so great.

I was raised in the real world too. I know that the world isn't perfect but there are ways to improve, A nation either improves or does not by obeying what God had to say and teach.

I do not promote anything negative. I sign conservative petitions and go to rallies, and talk to another activists and I am very Pro-Conservative.

You are for Abortion, Homosexuality, Anti-Bible etc. How is that positive ?
