LYNDSEY and Ruth Cunningham and Paul Dance raised more than £5,000 for deaf children by trekking across China.
They walked up to eight hours a day on the 10-day journey to raise the money for the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS).
Lyndsey and Ruth are sisters from Thatcham and Paul, from Newbury,is Ruth's boyfriend.
Lyndsey - who is deaf herself - said: "This was a real personal challenge for us. It was hard work but a great adventure, and we are delighted to have been able to raise money for deaf children and their families."
Alex Brooks-Johnson, NDCS head of events, said: "Every day in the UK three babies are born deaf and 90 per cent of these are born to parents who can hear and have little experience of dealing with deafness.
None of our work would be possible without the commitment of people like Lyndsey, Ruth and Paul."
