I love traveling, and have seen and done a lot of fun and crazy stuff on a few continents. My work helps me live my dream of traveling the world and experiencing different cultures.

I'd like to get some travel tips from others on this site and get some ideas on cool places to visit, as well as offer advice to anyone who would like to travel if I have experience in the area. Most of my traveling has been around Africa (Southern to Central, and a bit on the West coast) and I'd like to share what I can.

For example my favorite place is Malawi, the people are easy going and my experiences there had a huge effect on my life :D

what work do you do?

Okay, in order, I install monitoring equiptment on mines and dams, I am deaf in my left ear and partially in my right from an accident last year and I'm not a travel agent, who wants to send others all over the world when you can see the world for yourself?:D

The work isn't really, the places I go to sometimes are(like Angola), but then I also get jobs in places like The Philippines and Malawi and love every second.

Okay, I don't know a lot about backpackers in other countries (as i usually stay in a hotel) but in South Africa i've been to a lot, so here's travel tip 1, when in South Africa get a copy of a book called "coast to coast" it has full listings of all the backpackers, prices and things to do in the area! I spent 5weeks traveling one summer with that book as my guide, and had one of the best times of my life getting immersed in the local culture and meeting people from other countries

hmmm, perhaps i'm a little spoiled, but i prefer European locales. London is a favorite of mine. Paris was nice, too.
