Town for the deaf people

Somebody here has an unhealthy obsession with Richard Roehm.

Yes, it's that obvious.

And who else notices it somewhat? :smoking:

AD isn't the place for personal agendas and whatnots...ok?

I've read about this awhile back and it'll be interesting once completed and getting a feedback from settlers residing there!

I've heard of that before, it's a old news. I ain't interested in living in a deaf town in middle of nowhere, and many other reasons, too.

I think it's a good idea. I mean, why not? What happens if it becomes a viable community instead of someone's pipe dream?

People are planning this town just like any other town that could pop up in the mid-west. Actually, they're planning this one better so that it's accomodating, modern, and accessible. I would think that its chances of attracting people to move, AS LONG AS THE JOBS ARE THERE, are pretty high.

If it's not too far from Sioux Falls, and the housing prices are great, it could be a well off town.

I am with RoadRunner about AD not being the place for personal agenda as I may not agree with Nesmuth's perspectives however we have to agree to disagree in this forum.

Back on topic about the Deaftown, the main question lies at hand.. where will the resources come from?

No thanks, I rather live in diversity town. Why would I move to solid deaf town? Would they give me a long term security job with great benefits and high salarly? I dont think so.

Pretty high risk for CSD What would happend if the company bust up just like WorldCom.

FYI, I do not give negative comments to CSD. However, I am glad that we need a great deaf company that runs the telecommuncation business for deaf customers and another hearies in business world and family world. Moreover, we need to give great explain to the hearing world that we the DEAF can do it.

I don't think it's quite a good idea. I mean, nothing is secret any more. You fart. 15 miles across town, someone hears about it immediately. You get a blowjob from your girlfriend. A hour later, you arrive to a bar and everyone there knows about how long it took for you to reach your orgasm. Nothing is safe any more. :nono:
