Today I worked at one of my part-time jobs. A large part of it involves prep. and cleaning. As some of you know, sequences are challenging for me but what happened today was I was supposed to prepare outside dog yard for dogs which can include filling kiddie pools. Supervisor told me what he wanted done and I went and did that and came back in, then came back out and found he was filling a pool; he said -did you hear me say to fill pool? - I said, no I did not. He said he would have to change or do something differently <don't remember exactly what he said there > and that I needed to listen better -

:ty: Bott, u are good -

Yes, I will either get written or write myself; I have instructions to go w/many of the cleaning sequences that I wrote prior - with that and a especially good visual in my mind I understand things better. As I said, I need to have many visual examples of a sequence sometimes to "get it", but that is related to LD itself. Every afternoon prep. plan different depending on dogs how many, weather etc. Yes, I like that idea about writing down the stuff when I come in for afternoon.
Am worried now that he will also say about LD - you need to learn better -

aw, yeah writing things down would help. A humorus respnose but it works out well. As a matter of fact that should also help me as well. I don't do so well remembering things when it comes to sequential orders.

Of course your first line here is my favorite. :)

But if he should say anything like you fear, I think you are covered under the ADA, if he knows you have this learning disability.

Although I am not positive. Maybe someone with more knowledge could tell you about your rights.

I'm in the same boat!...Hate to admit it, but I keep directions written down, etc., and have to do something several times before remembering how to do them.

yes, I am covered under ADA for LD depending on no. of employees at workplace and other specifications. But I don't know enough about it in detail to "make a case"
But not-hearing thing is new to me, so I am still learning about that, I must work on my "signing impairment" too <improve ASL> . I must remember to ask supervisor to face me more because often he tells me something as he is turning away.
Challenging cuz not only may I not hear it physically, I may also actually hear it but not process or register it - or maybe I'll only "get" parts of instructions - because of my auditory processing problems. Like he'll say a string of sequences and what I end up with is "five" and "two" and he's already left -
