Tiger Woods regained the No. 1 spot in the world golf rankings, winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Monday in Orlando, Fla.

Woods won the tournament for the eighth time, tying Sam Snead for the most times winning one event in a career.

Woods shot a fourth-round 70 Monday and beat Justin Rose by two strokes.

Rory McIlroy slides to No. 2 in the world rankings.

Took him a while, didn't it?

It did. But getting back to Number 1 at his age, with all of the pressure and naysayers, is quite a feat. Not that I approve of the stuff he has down off the course (not to mention some of the things on it) but I am pretty surprised by this. I would actually be shocked if he doesn't win the Masters in 2 weeks.

I definitely agree with everything you have said but he's not that old. This isn't like an NFL player where they get short circuited in 4 years. He has a LOT of prime golfing years left in him.

Except that I don't care what he does on his own time. I just wanna see the man play some golf... and boy he sure can play. I love watching him.

37 is getting up there. Not that one can't be competitive at that age.....but he is dominating again and destroying Par 5's. But the biggest change of all is the weekend scoring average of his playing partners which is high. That is a sure sign that the intimidation factor is back.

I think he will win the Masters because that tournament is all Par 5's and putting and Tiger is killing both of those right now. If he maintains this level of play I would not be surprised to see him shoot -18 and win by 8 or 10 shots.

Yeah...took him awhile...but good to see him back again...Now if he can get his personal life straightened out....beieve his ex-wife almost took him to the cleaners....
