John Woo, one of the most acclaimed (or so it seems) director in live action/adventure-martai arts flicks said he will direct a movie based on the smash hit videogames series, Metroid, to appear in the big screen. It is unknown who will play as Samus, the famous bounty hunter who've saved planet Zebes and the rest of the solar systems a million times from the invading forces of the space pirates and stuff like that...

To be honest...I just think most movies that are based on games are better off animated than live action because they just dont work out too well as animations does, if you catch my drift.

There were rumors that if a Metroid movie was made, alot of people would recommend Angelia Jolie(well known for the Tomb Raider movies) to do the samus character, but could just dye her hair blonde like samus (no blonde jokes, please lol)but I doubt it'll be her anyway so who knows? Let's just hope John Woo would try to make the movie COMPLETELY close enough to the game and its plot and all...if not, he's doomed.
:mad2:

here's the full story.

Yes, animation is good. However, live action can be good... just as long as they keep the story closest to the game. In the past, they have made live action movies that weren't even close to the game. Sometimes, doing it in live action makes it difficult for them to do it very close to the game.

Let's just hope the movie, Super Mario Brothers is not remembered by many.

There were rumors in the Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine that they said there may be a possiblity that the young actress, Kristin (sp?) who played as the villainous T-X in Terminator 3 to be chosen as Samus, the bounty hunter...

hmmm can't say that I'm against that.
