Thrilling News From Me

My mom seems had problem with me being EMT. She think nobody will hire me because I am deaf.

WAIT.....................LOOK AT STEVEN SCHRADER, DEAF EMT FROM ATLANTA, GEORGIA. He been EMT for 10-15 years, I think.

I WILL FIGHT MY RIGHTS TO GET JOB IN AMBULANCE COMPANY IN FUTURE. I KNOW IT WILL BE NIGHTMARE AND STRUGGLING BUT I WILLING TO DO THAT.

IT'S SOMETHING I WANT TO DO! BEING EMT! I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE UP FIGHTING TO GET JOB WITH AMBULANCE COMPANY.
 
Change of plan

Hey, I want to let all of you know that I decide to postpone my plan until March 2005 because of paperworks with proof of ADHD/LD, Deafness, and audiogram and interpreting.

I don't want to postpone but I have to.
 
Good luck with whatever you doing...I just wanted to input just for your information..when I was hospitalized about several years ago...I was happened end up with one hard of hearing EMT BUT he admit to me his one ear is full deaf and other ear is soon become deaf...he is fluency in ASL...I see at him mean HoH or Deaf CAN DO IT...it occured when I was college student way back.

I know Schrader too. Hes a fine dude and he's made himself some news and a book on being an EMT.

Schrader and I worked on getting the national guard to accept deaf people in their training centers. He's done a lot more than I did and I'm proud of him.

My favorite chapter in Schrader's book was "Bleeding House". Did you read that part?
 
Congrats on wanting to be an EMT!

I have thought about being an EMT in my young days, but I couldn't deal with blood at all!

Maybe one day you and Steven Schrader will be work together. :)
