John 20:17 Jesus said to her, Do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, I ascend to My Father and your Father and My God and your God.
God is good.
When I read this verse what really touched me is God's goodness. Look we are sinners poisoned by satan.We have actually become satan in our constituent.God created man not men.He said in the beginning let us make man in our own image...God placed the tree of life (in front of man) signifying God Himself as life to be eaten by man, but the man God created was deceived by satan to take in a source(the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) other than God Himself as life. Man whom God previously created for Himself;for His glory;that is His expression in life and dominion, having eaten the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, signifying satan the old serpent, was poisoned. Man was serpentined with satan's serpentine nature.That was beginning of man's fall. We were all created in this one man! When he fell, we fell in him. We were all constituted sinners! We become God's enemies having become one with His no.1 enemy-Satan.His poisonous life was injected into us.
But then God is love and righteous, by His love He became a man and by His righteousness He died for us. He poured out His blood for us that our sin may be forgiven. A forgiveness in righteouness. Look, if God should just forgive us the moment we sin without doing anything about our offenses that will be injustice that is unrighteousness.It is the same as letting a notorious armed robber go free without doing anything to compensate his offenders.The armed robber will not be at peace.He will still be debtor and robber and the one who let him go will also be accuse of injustice.
For God so loved the world... how marvelous! God loves you! Love in action- dying love. Christ died for us!
Christ was the only begotten Son of God, but after His death and resurrection, He released His divine life into His disciples. We become the many sons of God with Christ as the firstborn Son of God Romans 8:29
