I just finished watching this movie. It is a good motivating movie. There were many positive things in this movie you could learn alots from. The only thing is I did not like what happened at the motel and the " lady " taking him out to breakfast. I highly doubt that happened because in the 1960's there were no transgendered ladies around and I think this does the movie some injustice because lately with Hollywood movies that are supposed to be historical movies now contain digusting liberal establishment practices and that is something I have noticed very recently with Hollywood movies and it is a real disgrace. If they left out that part about the transgendered lady at the motel then this movie would have been very magnificent and very good for motorcyclists and what is more this is supposed to be a very good movie. They should not have included that scene about the transgendered lady because now millions of parents when they watch the movie together with their children will find that their children will ask what is wrong with that " lady " ? and that is something rather very shocking to have to explain to small children about that scene and even though, he handled the situation like a gentleman towards the transgendered lady. I found it very unacceptable and this never would have made the cut on a Harley Davidson movie. Let's hope Hollywood does not screw up a perfectly good movie with any more digusting liberal establishment practices. I would suggest to parents to watch it alone first then know where to use the fast forward and then use the stop button to protect the kid's innocence from these digusting things then the kids can still enjoy a positive innocent family film. Parents beware of this film and watch it alone first so you know where to fast forward and stop the film then play the film again in an appropriate manner. This ruined what anotherwise would have been a magnificent movie. I would give this 4 stars with a cautionary note to parents to protect their children from these rather shocking scenes. This would have been a 5 star movie but I can't honestly give it a 5 star and it is a 4 star film with a hint of caution with the DVD remote to be sure and enjoy the inspiring innocent family film. After the movie, talk to the kids about the positve accomplishments, what the kids learned about setting goals and things like that which will help with being a successful person in their future life and even now they can learn something about reaching small goals and grow from there.
God Bless !!!!!
I also wanted to say that as he met many people along the way. I noticed something that he show respect to a returning Vietnam veteran on his 2 weeks leave before going back to Vietnam which really showed what those times were like and he fought the war with honor and this was before all the anti-war hatred the liberals showed in the 1960's for Vietnam veterans who were fighting the war with honor and asked for nothing more and this is what the Vietnam veterans got in return ? Although I thought it was alittle anti-war the way they showed the conversation between the old man bringing his motorcycle to the desert salt flats and the young returning airman from Vietnam on leave to see his parents and his girlfriend before returning back to fight another year in Vietnam. This is one of the better ones that portray Vietnam veterans in a positive light which was really surprising to see and that was a good start.
