This stuff reminds me of my BF.
He is into computers and robotics and stuff, which I don't know much about (I'm not really 'stupid' about it, just don't take time to learn more than I need to use at this time.)
He knows all about Linux and things like that. He even built his own Segway out of scrap parts, and I think the control system is derived from Linux or something... he programmed drivers or whatever they are called to make the balancing things function, and keep it up on two wheels.
I think he could make a computer out of a toaster, if he wanted to.
