'The Town Mouse and The Country Mouse' Go 'Hand in Hand' - washingtonpost.com
Imagination Stage's Deaf Access Company is hitting the road with a family show called "Hand in Hand." The company's teenage actors -- some of whom are deaf or hard-of-hearing -- will perform at three locations on three weekends starting this Saturday.
The show, for both deaf and hearing audiences, combines the story of "The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse" with an interactive exhibit about deafness called Language for the Eye.
Ages 5 and older are sure to enjoy the poetry, dance and song. The show is performed in sign language and spoken words. Tickets are $10.
Rumpelstiltskin, Cinderella and friends will run amok when "The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fair(l)y Stoopid Tales" opens Saturday at Adventure Theatre in Glen Echo Park. Weekend shows continue through April 20, with added performances March 24-28.
The schedule includes a sign-language show on April 20 and weekday field trips that might have some openings. Tickets are $12. Call 301-634-2270 or visit Adventure Theatre for times and other information.
