The start of a journey

Hello hello. As my username suggests my name is josh, and I'm from florida. Tampa bay to be exact. I am hearing, 21 years old, and a brand new student to asl(independently, using lifeprint.) I began learning asl because I was feeling like I wasn't using my extra time constructively out side of work. I have started to reach out towards the asl using community(deaf or otherwise) in my area but am not exactly comfortable going to silent social events as new as I am. Looking for someone(or several someones) to be kindof video pen pals in order for me to feel like I'm using what I'm learning outside of study, and to have someone to critque me. All in all, extremely excited for the journey ahead, and to have found such an active online community for support.
