The Sopranos=The Last Episode?

It doesnt look like its the end.Why in the hell it would end on a peaceful christmas party?I just dont get what HBO is trying to pull here.They said there are new more 8 episodes of the Sopranos next year.HBO said these are the last soprano episodes how can they be the last if they are 8 more episodes?Yeah right by next season they gonna claim (The Sopranos the Final episode) Then next they gonna say (The Sopranos the new begining) Somehow i get the feeling of that.

I watched it on HBO sometimes and I like the series but didnt catch the final episode.
