The Platters Use Voices to Raise Money for the FSDB | Firstcoastnews.com | Local News
A legendary singing group will perform to help raise money for the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind.
The Platters are among several musical groups taking part in a fundraiser.
The Coasters, Drifters, and The Temptations are some of the other classic groups in the lineup.
"Be there or be square," said Myles Savage, who echoed a trademark phrase of The Platters.
Savage left a stack of BOGO free coupons at the First Coast News studios. If you buy one seat, you get a second for free. You can pick them up at our lobby during regular business hours until they're gone. Our lobby is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 1070 East Adams Street, near Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
The concert is Saturday, June 5, at Kirk Auditorium. The event begins at 7 p.m.
You can call (904) 829-3800 for more information or visit the school's web site.
