The new Volt hybrid car....a lemon.

And who would pay $41,000 for any Chevrolet product...... With the exception of the the 68 Camaro and the 50s-70's Vette's and some of the old trucks.

I wouldn't own any Chevrolet made after 76 or so.........

I'm just curious since these cars would be designed for leaded gasoline. Do you convert them to unleaded or buy lead substitute additives?

You convert it to run on unleaded gasoline. It's mainly the carbeurator that needs to be converted to run on unleaded.

I am not going to say who, but this is to remind those who thinks electric cars don't draw much electricity. I know it is dead wrong. It takes alot power to run car so therefore it won't be any cheaper than gas.

Now, here is link proving that if we convert to electric cars, we will run into serious trouble. This is not a vialble solution

Electric Car Boom Could Deliver a Surge in Grid Power

I rather focus and invest in Hydrogen fuel cell. I would bet my hard earned dollars on Hydrogen as fuel of the future. Why? Hydrogen is 100% recyclable, and renewable. On this planet Hydrogen is second most abudeance of all matters. How Fuel cells works? First split hydrogen atoms from oxygen, of course it requires alternative energy, perfect example would be sun (Solar energy, Hydropower, Natural gas, etc) then it is just hydrogen cells, and when going though fuel cells, the oxygen is smashed with Hydrogen which result electric Energy causing car to run. Again, the very same Hydrogen with oxygen comes out of emission can be separated again, the limit is pretty much unlimited. This will not hurt our current infrastructure.

I am old enough to remember this, no has nothing to do with carbeurator (perhap only small part). It has alot to do with valves. Leaded fuel makes valves remain stronger and catalytic converter. Leaded gas going though catalytic converter will do severe damage to it. In late 70's EPA forced the change from leaded gas to unleaded gas,

One still can get leaded suppliment but not easy to get.
