The Monster

The monster lives on
Given life by the ignorant masses
Those who can’t do or think for themselves
Are killing us all, as the time passes

This monster, who uses fear too control
Lies and kills without remorse
How much more must we all endure
Will anyone survive his repulsive force

We once were a people respected by many
Now we are hated and loathed by the world
As we watch this monster control our kids lives
We cry with great sorrow as each of them dies

This Monster has brought shame to us all
While doing his deeds in the name of god
When his life is over he will burn in hell
Will his followers join him, only time will tell

Umm, your poem is very interesting.. Do you mind telling the reason behind the Monster? It sounds like me or President Bush? :Ohno:

I took it to be a metaphor for post-9/11 hysteria in general, and the way the public is willing to deliberately suspend the ability to think for themselves, rather than an allusion to Bush specifically. But then again, I could be wrong.
