The lengths of ones desperation

To tell you all the lengths I will go to when desperate to satisfy
my weekly crave for strawberries, I was at the hospital last month
with an elderly friend who's health is deteriorating when my crave
for something strawberry hit.

At that moment I knew there was a vending machine in the basement
that carried strawberry fanta so that's where I headed only to find
the machine was out of order, no problem though there were 6 other machines
there so I looked but nothing strawberry was to be found so I went to
the first floor gift shop in search there for a drink or strawberry flavored candy
but left empty handed.

Remembering the cafeteria, I headed back down to the basement but only
found myself lost in the halls of this enormous hospital and when I finally
did find the cafeteria they had closed so knowing each of the 12 floors
had a coke machine I set out to find my strawberry drink, anything
strawberry I was willing to settle for but found no strawberry colas in
any of the vending machines on the 12 floors I had searched.

By now the cafeteria was open again so there I headed only to be disappointed that they had none when I got there, so my new mission was to locate my cola in a building outside the hospital somewhat close by, so did alot of walking to get there and voila! they had it so I got it and headed back to the hospital to my friends room where I sat down after my long exhausting search only to look down and realize I had purchased a Big Red cola instead of the strawberry fanta that it had sat beside in the cooler.

Well by now you all have probably figured out what had to happen next
and if you guessed I had to take another long walk your right, but in
desperate times acts of desperation are called for, at least in my case anyway.
