The International Year of Astronomy is declared by the 62nd General Assembly of the U.N. to recognize Astronomy in coincidence with the 400th anniversary of Galileo's discovery of planets and their moons.
We will see alot of exciting news about the discovery of new extrasolar planets and systems, new findings on Mars, Saturn and others, new missions such as Kepler Space Telescope and much more.
