worth repeating. it's insane, truly.

We need smarter and more efficiency, not bigger and fatter.
 
A few questionable "facts" I could find right away.

I don't think the author adjusted for inflation. According to the link, the Pentagon cost $80 million in 1943. It would be around $1 billion today. We're not spending $1 billion a day in Afghanistan. It's nothing close to that much.

By my calculation, that would be over $300 billion a year for Iraq. That's a bit closer than the last one, but it's still pretty far off by about a factor of 2.

We're spending in the ballpark of about $150 billion to $200 billion a year on both wars combined. That's still a lot of money, but this article's exaggerating, at least on those two points.
