What do you think of the Brick Testament site? It has bible stories with pictures of scenes made with lego blocks and a bible verse or two assoicated with each picture, grouped in series to tell stories. It is based on various public domain translations plus stuff from the original Hebrew and Greek writings. There are ratings N, S, V and C for nudity, sexual content, violence and cursing for each story. It's amazing how much such stuff is in the bible. More stories are added to the site sometimes.
The Brick Testament site shows that there is nudity, sexual content, violence and cursing in the bible. So, is that a reason why they write kid bible storybooks? I say that if books with those things in it are not given to kids, unless they get bowdlerized or otherwise censored or watered down, it is only fair to demand that the bible be kept away from children until it is censored.
