Well, again, today.....
I called Vocational Rehab since My case worker still hasnt returned calls or emails, I had a wild hair growing and was ready to speak my mind without a care in the world since I am getting pretty upset with the run around with "Cathy"

So I called and guess what? Cathy retired, no wonder that old bitty didnt do anything, she was retiring and just didnt care to work, let alone mention it to me or anything.
Well the nice lady on the phone took my info and said my case has been closed for 2 years so I am elidgeable to get new hearing aids, and directed me to a new office/worker which I am now waiting on for her to call me back and get started. I called my old audiologist office to get a copy of my old hearing test so I can compare my hearing lost when I get the new test done. I told them I am planning to go back to school since there is a program that is completely free for low income (which I qualify for) to get into radiography. So I need the new aids in order to hear to take the classes here at the local community college (2 year program)
I am aiming to try the Widex and Phonak.. as I want as many options as I can get (better tv/radio and other receptions and options) that standard aids dont provide.

hope you get assistance from VR! VR is paying for my college classes and bought me an FM unit (and I'm hoping to get into the radiography program myself too.. but still have a few classes I need to take before I can apply). Good luck! :)

Yeah they have a program here now and its free for low income, except books, but thats next to nothing and sell them when finnished.
I am looking at every option available for me right now.

Got a call today from my new caseworker, heres whats said.

I am to fill out new paperwork and meet July 3rd to get new hearing test.
My original case was closed 2010, so if my hearing has gotten worst they will pay for new hearing aids. If its the same they will only do an incentative for new ones.
If I wait ( if I dont qualify due to hearing test showing hearing hasnt changed)
they will again issue me new hearing aids free once I reach 5 years from my last case which is 2 more years.

Well, I know my hearing has gotten worst so I hope to get the widex or phonak to try. And I get to go to the Audiologist here in town at the hospital !!!
