Texas Tech Red Raiders suspend coach Mike Leach for Valero Alamo Bowl - ESPN

Everything on Leach's side doesn't make sense, and I honestly believe his lawyer, Tony Liggett, is trying to cover for Leach who is obviously trying to hide what he knows are illegal practices in coaching his team. I foresee Texas Tech firing Mike Leach before the end of the year. The university can afford the contract buyout, and as far as anything goes, if Mike Leach is found guilty of player mistreatment which can lead to criminal charges, that can be considered breach of contract and the university can terminate him without having to buyout his contract.

I went to Tech before graduating from TCU. I am a big fan of Mike Leach but I think they will fire him as well. There won't be any charges though and I am not sure what they are complaining about. Football is a tough sport and it requires tough training. Nobody forces the players to play....they can leave at any time. Once he is fired his phone will ring off the hook from college teams and TV networks as well. I doubt he is worried.

Heard today he was fired. But I have no official sources yet.

He is deserved to be fired. TT administration did a good job.

Yep he is gone......That will kill the school with recruiting. I know my nephew just took them off his list. I think it will be USC for my nephew now. As for Leach I try not to base my opinion on one side of the story. In this case all we have heard is the complaint. We haven't heard Leach's side. His player's love him so it sounds more like a whiner causing drama rather than a serious incident.
